KU Book Club is a book club for all students and staff at the University of Copenhagen, taking place every other Sunday in the old library in Fiolstræde.

In the book club, you can share your passion for books with like-minded individuals and meet students and staff from different fields of study. Additionally, you’ll also can enjoy the atmosphere of the old university library.

The book club is a cozy and fun way to meet new people while getting through some of those books that have been sitting on your shelf at home.

The plan is simple – you sign up and tell us a bit about yourself and the books you enjoy reading, and based on that, we place you in a group.

In the book club, we read short books, long books, and short stories, ranging from science fiction and utopias to historical romance and gothic horror.

We strive to always choose books that are available at libraries, used, or online. You can choose whether you prefer to read in English or Danish when you sign up.

We typically read 50-100 pages between each meeting, depending on the group’s preferences.

Participation is free, but you must be a student or staff member at KU, and registration is required.

Volunteer

To become a volunteer in Studenterhuset and byStudents, you must participate in an information meeting. Here you will hear more about all our opportunities for volunteers, meet all the other new volunteers and sign up for what you think sounds like something for you.
